Mischa Barton Challenges Continue

Although it's a new year,  actress Mischa Barton continues to have ongoing challenges.  Mischa, who spent part of 2009 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on an involuntary psychiatric hold is being sued.

Her New York landlord, MRA Realities, has claimed the actress didn't pay three months of rent for a total of $21,300.

The legal case  has been filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.  After Mischa's latest TV series "The Beautiful Life" tanked after two short episodes, Mischa moved from LA to New York and rented a $7,000 a month luxury loft in TriBeCa.

MRA's lawyer Joseph Burden said "she lived there for September and October, then moved out and quit paying,"

In addition to her recent legal issues, Mischa is being criticized for her lack of professionalism while filming a guest spot recently for "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."

Famous for her hard partying ways, inside sources say Mischa kept forgetting her lines and the show's cast and crew were losing their patience.
